The Chief Accountant will supervise an accounting team, manage financial reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards, assist in budget development, and coordinate with external auditors. Responsibilities include leading month-end and year-end closing processes, overseeing ledger maintenance, and improving accounting controls while providing administrative support to the accounting department.

- Monthly VAT reporting, preparation of annual income tax return, road tax and other tax matters
- Ensure compliance with the Czech Accounting Standards
- Administrative support to the accounting department and other related work including accounting documents archiving.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
- Proven experience as an accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant.
- Awareness of business trends and advanced knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including “Vlookups” and pivot tables.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability of working with numbers.
- Fluent knowledge of Czech and/or Slovak language.
- Written and spoken knowledge of English - level (B2).
