Job Description

We are looking for a Change Manager to join our growing Service Management Team within our Technology Operations department. The Change Manager acts as driver and implementer of the Change Management Process within the company. As a Change Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and ensuring compliance with both internal expectations and external requirements throughout the life cycle of a change or release, from initial planning to delivery. The right candidate needs to be a critical thinker, inquisitive, attentive to detail, great at communicating, and most importantly a team player! The expected work schedule of a Change Manager is full time, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

Change Manager is expected to:

  • Properly validate changes by their change types and assess their potential risks and possible impact on product availability and stability;
  • Authorise and approve minor, low impact changes;
  • Involve the Change Advisory Board to discuss high-risk changes where appropriate and make the decision either to implement or to reject the change;
  • Oversee that all changes are documented in the release tracking system in a timely and appropriate manner and all stakeholders are notified about them according to the internal and external expectations;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards within the change preparation and delivery process;
  • Plan and schedule authorised changes according to the internal policy;
  • Escalate the case to IT management if an unauthorized change is discovered;
  • Ensure that post-implementation reviews are conducted according to company standards, where relevant;
  • Conduct daily reports on Change Management activities;
  • Contribute to the corporate Knowledge Base;
  • Participate in gathering, monitoring and analysis of metrics related to Change Management;
  • Continuously evaluate the existing Change Management Process and ways of working, identify the areas of improvement and enhancements to the process and escalate them accordingly;
  • Participate in assessments of the change delivery process and provide assistance with the implementation of the practices best suited for each the product;
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and collaborators of the Change Management Process in Altenar on the principles, requirements and expectations of the process and its derivatives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • An understanding and working knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Release Management
  • Prior experience in Change Management within tech and product is a must
  • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira and Confluence to complete daily tasks
  • Capable of working both independently and as a team
  • Able to assist Compliance with Change Management reports
  • Experience in working with KPIs and metrics within Change Management
