Summary:
Supports the design, development, and implementation of TalentWorks initiatives in support of driving Field Talent and Talent Acquisition and Growth priorities. This extends to new and existing leader programming, curriculum, field event, content, and tool launches and adoption.
Lead the design and implementation of large, integrated talent initiatives that deliver results through talent team engagement and local office adoption; design key messages and positioning strategies that resonate with field talent teams and audiences and drive measurable behavior change. Develop clear, effective, consistent, and persuasive communications and content, upholding alignment to the Northwestern Mutual brand. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high impact programs, communications, content, and tools. Leverage current methods and propose new channels to drive launch, engagement, and adoption of TalentWorks initiatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Design, develop, implement, and measure home office and field-facing adoption processes, systems, and structures.

  • Design, implement, and manage home office partner and field-facing adoption plans.
  • Develop and lead TalentWorks engagement and adoption strategy inclusive of programs, communications, content, and partnerships.
  • Develop clear, accurate and persuasive communications and content to ensure home office and field-facing materials present the desired messages. Leverage consistent channels and proven methods that have impact with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within Talent Acquisition and Growth, Distribution Performance, and Field Talent to deliver high impact and aligned messages and programs.
  • Leverage current and propose innovative new channels for impactful delivery and engagement.
  • Measure and evaluate the methods used to deliver consistent messaging.
  • Ensure effective communications are aligned to the field voice and Northwestern Mutual brand.
  • Manage the quality creation, copywrite, and delivery and on-going maintenance of measurable and effective home office and field-facing resources that directly support key Talent Acquisition & Growth (TAG) and Field Talent initiatives.


2) Strategic influence and subject matter expert regarding content deliverables and adoption tactics on all assigned projects.

  • Utilizing a consistent and framework-driven model, support the design, launch and adoption of large, integrated projects.
  • Independently design and deliver new and existing home office sponsored programs, tools, and materials, enabling home office and field implementation and enablement.
  • Design key adoption messages and positioning strategies (e.g. identify and design the right resource and message for the right target audience) that resonate with home office and field audiences and drive measurable behavior change. Align messaging to field personas and talent growth processes and strategies, as appropriate.
  • Independently lead highly complex projects with TAG and cross-functional stakeholders; strategically making connections to different programs and teams.
  • Understands the wider objectives of NM, Field Talent and TAG and makes connections to TalentWorks training opportunities.


3) Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead training and manage governance of TalentWorks engagement and adoption strategies (programs, communications, content, partnerships) by full Talent Acquisition and Growth team.
  • Strategically look across TAG team to identify inefficiencies and develops templates, tools, and best practices to support more systematic processes.
  • Responsible for adhering to and managing the budget on assigned areas of accountability (projects).
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. /B.A. degree in business, sales or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in designing and delivering learning content, adoption strategies, field enablement and engagement plans, and promoting talent adoption strategies to field talent audiences.
  • Ability to anticipate current and future trends, connecting work and priorities to other strategic projects and priorities.
  • Effective ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels to advance objectives of the team and organization.
  • Knowledgeable on how to best leverage a multi-channel strategy to support communications and engagement with target audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish tracking and measurement systems and adjust approach based on data.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, including the creation and execution of project plans to ensure successful completion.
  • Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity and take initiative in the role.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to leverage research insights and incorporate them into strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets to accomplish business objectives.
  • Learning & development experience strongly recommended.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$84,350.00
Pay Range - End:
$156,650.00
Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
