Your Challenges
- Responsible for the regional category strategy to ensure the maximum contribution to Eppendorf's business objectives and aligning with Global Procurement Goals and Targets.
- Establishment, management and development of a high-performance supplier portfolio
- Control of the tendering and awarding process
- Standardize and update standard contracts to harmonize with Global Procurement
- Responsible for the commercial conditions of the assigned regional category
- Establish and define purchasing strategies for the assigned categories in alignment of the global strategy.
- Conducting market analyses, identifying market trends and price developments
- Independent management of negotiations up to the drafting of contracts
- Updating ERP system with negotiated pricing
- Carrying out tenders and awarding contracts in close coordination with the department
- Systematic research and identification of innovations and sustainability aspects in the corresponding category
- Supervision of supplier audits in close cooperation with Supplier Quality Team
- Strategic alignment and continuous optimization and maintenance of the supplier portfolio
- Implementation of business reviews incl. initiation of measures
- Coordination and processing of the annual supplier evaluation in interface function
- Ensuring and improving all relevant purchasing-related qualitative parameters (KPI)
- Advising the departments on all procurement-related questions and processes
- Monitoring of compliance with regulatory requirements as an interface between supplier and quality management
- Support Global initiatives when requested
Your Expertise
- Completed studies in the field of economics or engineering. Comparable business education and training with other degrees, ideally with a focus on purchasing
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in an international company/matrix organization
- In-depth experience in category management in a company with a regulated environment
- High level of technical understanding
