Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay HiRel is currently seeking applicants for a Buyer at the Marshall, MN location. This position coordinates purchasing activities of raw materials, MRO, and other services that are requested by internal customers. Takes responsibility for maintaining the department’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are composed of cost effectiveness, on-time delivery of purchase orders, and supplier quality. Communicates with suppliers, including but not limited to, contract negotiations, delivery follow up, re-scheduling orders to meet production needs, and returns of non-confirming orders.
Job Location:
This position will be on-site at the Marshall, MN facility, in the industrial park, near highway 23 and close to SMSU.
What you will be doing:
- Developing and maintaining working relations with suppliers assigned.
- Monitoring stock and inventories of local warehouses, and planning quantities of parts and materials needed, with respect to production and delivery plans.
- Negotiating contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts, materials or services.
- Ensuring timely procurement and order management to ensure parts and materials are appropriately delivered.
- Ensuring supplier performance reporting, announcing and clarifying claims, if necessary.
What you will bring along:
- 1 - 2 years of experience purchasing, expediting, that focuses on the needs of a manufacturing/production environment.
- Business related discipline with emphasis on negotiation skills preferred
Pay Range: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year (Full-Time; 40 hours weekly)
