Buyer Analyst – Hanover Park, IL

We have an opportunity for a Buyer Analyst to join our Hanover Park, IL team. You will be involved in heavy interaction with vendors in terms of both purchasing of product and problem resolution, managing the replenishment cycle through to analyzing its performance.
You will:
- Place and track purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory parts.
- Achieve monthly/annual inventory targets.
- Create orders consistent with PFEP and provide visibility to exceptions.
- Manages day to day purchasing operations.
- Negotiates the release of all purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production requirements.
- Reviews inventory levels and issues/modifies orders for stock replenishment applying best practices for inventory reduction and inventory optimization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on material requirements.
- Process non-confirming material back to suppliers.
- Follow up on critical shipments to ensure timely arrival at our dock.
- Support supplier transition initiatives ensuring no disruption to supply of parts during transition.
- Support new product roll out by assisting in establishing the supply chain for the new product.
- Maintains confidential company information.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes and Kaizen events.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment & need to be able to quickly adapt to change.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to 2 years of college or comparable work experience in a business-related field. Bachelors’ degree is a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience in purchasing with OEM or related field.
- BS or BA Degree
- Experienced with commercial ERP software used to control the operations of manufacturing companies. JD Edward experience is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and other data analytical tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
- Ability to interpret and understand multi-level bills of material.
- Must be detail oriented, have good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Conversant in the legal aspects of purchasing including contracts and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
