We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $121,500.00- $155,500.00

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience 

Benefits include annual variable pay bonus program; eligible for the use of a company vehicle; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age.; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive health care plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.

What You Drive at DTNA 

As the Manager of Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics IT, you will own the vision, strategy, planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive IT portfolio covering Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Transportation, International Trade Compliance and Production Logistics. Collaborating with key business stakeholders, you will be a critical thinker and strategic leader, driving enterprise transformation and tactical initiatives that reinforce our market leadership. This position reports directly to the IT Director – Operations, Engineering & Specialty Vehicles at DTNA.

Leading and Enabling a Creative and Innovative Team:

Empower and develop your team in an inclusive, safe environment. Provide coaching, direction, and leadership to achieve departmental, company, and customer objectives.

Strategic Leadership:

Plan, procure, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to meet the organization’s business needs. Define annual plans, projects, and delivery schedules, and report progress to both customers and IT management. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop an IT Roadmap aligned with the operational vision and drive its execution.

Budget and Business Case Management:

Take full ownership of budgeting and financial management for your team. Develop and manage budgets, create robust business cases to secure necessary resources, and ensure cost-effective utilization of funds.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with IT teams and business line functions to understand technology needs and align innovative solutions with organizational requirements. Foster effective collaboration across functions to drive shared goals and innovation.

Global Engagement:

Establish strong relationships with colleagues within the global Daimler Truck community. Leverage these connections to share knowledge, identify synergies, and accelerate technology adoption on a worldwide scale.

Service Management :

Drive best practices by collaborating with IT SIAM team and multiple vendors, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhanced overall service delivery. Oversee outsourced IT services and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Knowledge You Should Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in group leadership, supervisory roles, or as a project lead.
  • Proven track record managing medium-to-large scale IT project implementations.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex business and technical subjects to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performance, cross-functional product management teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and delivering software products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals, and share insights on commercial vehicle, transportation, and technology industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to engage executive stakeholders with thought leadership and technical expertise.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have 

  • Experience working in a global business environment is essential.
  • A solid understanding of Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics business functions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience in enterprise software management and IT organization operations within complex business environments is preferred.
