Business Relationship Manager for Procurement (m/f/d)
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) builds and maintains strategic relationships with business stakeholders, aligning their goals with effective solutions. They oversee end-to-end process mapping across multiple business units, leading a global team to design and implement high-quality solutions within Astemo. Additionally, they stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance business processes within their domain of expertise.
Your core responsibilities include:
Process design and implementation
- Define and own the procure-to-pay process from technical perspective, including direct and indirect procurement for the enterprise, at the global and enterprise level
- Collaborate with the business E2E process owners as well as functional departments on global, regional, and site level to implement standard P2P processes
- Work closely with E2E process owners, procurement leaders and major stakeholders and ensure the process definition is aligned with the enterprise vision
- Work with IT and SI counterparts for successful solution validation, process design, solution implementation, testing, and roll-out
- Ensure compliance to corporate policies, regulatory guidelines and internal controls for concerned countries.
- Act as expert and focal point for the development and enhancement of the Procure-to-Pay solution and provide support to local super-users / stakeholders on crucial functionalities and/or issues
Process operations and optimization:
- Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of P2P Operations (Operational Procurement, Accounts Payables) to internal customers
- Ensure that adequate and updated process documentation exists and is used
- Handle queries and escalations, respond to critical vendor and internal customer inquiries
- Drive innovation and implementation of new technologies to improve the procure-to-pay process
- Drive standardization and harmonization of procure-to-pay processes
Profile and Qualifications:
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in procurement and procure-to-pay processes from a technical or business perspective, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay processes, with experience in process ownership, management, and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of external compliance requirements related to Procure-to-Pay and experience working with outsourcing partners.
- Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple countries and organizational levels to secure buy-in and commitment.
Soft skills :
- Strong communication skills to manage various stakeholders from business and technical side
- Strong ability to influence important stakeholders through a mix of business acumen, technical understanding, and people skills
- Result-oriented mindset
Technical skills:
- Deep knowledge of SAP MM module and SAP S/4HANA procure to pay processes
- Good understanding of procure to pay tool landscape for multinational players
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills in the optimization of processes
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement / Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Fluency in English
