Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst

POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Utilize advanced analytics and visualization tools to analyze data, create dashboards, and identify trends. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop insights that drive business decisions and improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five plus years’ experience working with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and ETL.

• Good verbal and written documentation and data presentation skills including an ability to effectively communicate with both functional and technical teams.

• Troubleshooting skills, analytical ability, experience in mathematics, statistics, and problem- solving techniques.

• Strong sense of accountability and action orientation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience applying BI&A solutions to a manufacturing environment.

• Some experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms like Snowflake or Azure data Warehouse.

• Some experience with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.

• Some experience with specified functional area’s tools.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assess and resolve a wide range of BI&A issues in creative ways and suggest variations in approach.

• Partner with specified functional area to understand business needs.

• Suggest potential improvements and new solutions for reporting and analytics to address business needs.

• Become an expert in specified functional area’s business processes and data sources.

• Leverage best practice knowledge to improve the quality of reporting and analytics in the function across the enterprise.

• In alignment with enterprise-wide BI&A team, stay current with trends in the BI&A space, including best practices.

• Ensure best practices are shared across the enterprise where applicable.

• Collaborate with business subject matter experts, analysts, and offshore team members to provide accurate analytics and visualizations in a timely manner.

• Create Tableau visualizations following governance standards and processes.

• Assist other BI users as needed as part of Charter’s self-service enablement with analytical tools.

• Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
