Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Manager to join our team in Newington, NSW. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our advanced communication technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, influence, track, and win major projects within the defence, telecommunications, and niche communication technology sectors.
- Understand the needs of the market and develop appropriate product and service offers to win business.
- Implement pricing policy, strategy, and tactics as agreed with the Commercial Manager.
- Analyze the market in depth, understanding key opportunities, asset owners, contractors, and competitors.
- Build successful relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Prepare project offers and quotations.
- Present solutions to key customers and both external and internal stakeholders.
- Manage clients for timely decisions, objections and issues resolution, and final price and conditions of sale within company guidelines.
- Deliver post-sales care persistently, managing relationships while seeking additional future opportunities for Prysmian.
- Report all stages of opportunities through internal ERP as required by the business.
- Cultivate a "One Team" approach across the business, influencing all functions towards successful outcomes.
- Deliver short and medium-term financial outcomes for the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the telecommunications or defence industry.
- Strong understanding of communication technology solutions and their applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
