About the Role
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll play a key role in nurturing customer relationships, driving vendor initiatives, and supporting partner enablement efforts. In this role, you will focus on supporting the Microsoft Azure vendor line, helping to position Azure as a leading solution for cloud infrastructure and services. You’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, continuously develop your expertise in Azure products and programs, and contribute to the growth of our business through cloud solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to build strong partnerships, identify opportunities, and deliver impactful results that align with Azure's growth strategy.
What You'll Do

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism.

Act as a primary point of contact for Azure-related inquiries, providing timely and exceptional customer service

Collaborate with vendors and partners to drive strategic initiatives that contribute to mutual success and business growth.

Support partner enablement activities, ensuring that internal teams and stakeholders have the resources needed to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Become a subject matter expert on vendor products, programs, and industry trends to offer informed solutions and insights.

Manage and track vendor pipelines, identifying potential leads and driving opportunities through the sales process.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure prompt follow-up and accurate reporting on vendor-related activities.

Contribute to the sales team's planning and review process, offering insights on customer account management and strategy.

Stay up-to-date on relevant training and industry developments to continually enhance your expertise.
Position Level: This role could be classified as Level I, II, or III depending on business needs and the candidate's skill level. This job description is reflective of a Business Development Representative I.

College degree or equivalent work or military experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with empathy and adaptability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Solid understanding of sales processes and a customer-first mindset.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in formal presentations and customer interactions.

Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.

A team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.

Quick learner, eager to adapt to new systems and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure.

Ability to manage and analyze data accurately, with attention to detail in reporting.

Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 15% and occasionally work outside standard business hours, if needed.

Physical & Work Environment: Comfortable with a mix of office work and some time spent in front of a computer or on the phone, with reasonable accommodations made as needed.
Compensation: Actual annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
Qualified candidates can expect annual compensation range beginning at $40,000 up to $55,000 or more depending on experience. This includes a variable commission component.
