IFF is a global leader in Food Ingredients and Flavors and we are constantly looking for new challenges—and developing new-to-world solutions that answer them. We are now looking for a dynamic individual to join us as Business Development Manager to be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Your Focus

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible to lead and grow our business within Vietnam. This role will be part of IFF Taste commercial team in driving sales and pipeline in Vietnam, with the goal to deliver growth and new business wins. The role will see you effectively collaborate with team in commercial, customer service, innovation creation and design (IC&D), product management and marketing. This position report into Country Sales Leader Taste Vietnam.

How You Will Contribute.

  • Drive and execute sales strategy to meet business plan objectives as well as qualify business opportunities, develop action plans for growth acceleration.
  • Lead customer projects, ensures that project briefs are well executed, and deliverables meet customers requirement and timeline.  Manage and work with IFF internal stakeholders to obtain supports for customer projects in various locations.
  • Be the IFF main contact point with the key account customer. Manage relationship with key stakeholders of the account to strengthen trust, visibility, engagement, and business pipeline. This role is expected to have effective regular customer communication between the customer and IFF thereby translating their needs and requirements into proposals.
  • Defend existing business or identifies new business opportunities through innovation or proactive activities for pipelines creation. Captures these opportunities in SFDC, follow through and converts them into new wins to gain market share profitably for the company.
  • Management of designated customers or partner distributor by forecasting, sampling, providing price quotations, price negotiation, following up of customer queries and handling of customer complaints - in accordance with IFF’s procedures to deliver the expected customer sales service.
  • Monthly updating of call reports, opportunity management, forecasts, competitive market information, and keep relevant internal stakeholders informed to optimize business opportunities.
  • Provides a timely and accurate Activity Report to the Country Sales Leaders as requirements to effectively measure progress against agreed plans and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Works cooperatively with peers and leaders to ensure personal and company sales targets and performance measures are achieved and team-based culture fostered. 
  • Maintain customer information and database related to the accounts. Partner with operation team and customer service team to ensure customer satisfactions in term of services and supply.

What You Will Need To Be Successful.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Food & Nutrition, Food Technology or any other relevant industry.
  • Experienced in managing a global or regional key account with proven capability in leading a cross-functional team in a B2B environment for projects and business growth.
  • At least 5-8 years’ experience in B2B sales and account management experience in Flavors industry or food manufacturing.  
  • Experience and knowledge in Beverage and Dairy Category. Experience in snacks and culinary category is advantages.
  • Ability to assimilate commercial and/or technical information and communicate effectively to both customers and/or IFF team members.
  • Proven track-record in account development and delivered growth in sales and pipelines.
  • Demonstrated “can do” attitude, positive approach to problem solving and flexible in being able to prioritise multiple tasks. Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills in English language both verbal and written.
