Your Role


As a Business Development Manager for Federal Sales, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic vision and growth of Magnet through new business development opportunities. You will ensure that we are constantly exploring partnerships that could accelerate the growth of our business. In this role, you will bring a concentrated focus on growth, alignment with government customer missions, and developing relationships with client stakeholders in the Federal space.

 

The Federal Business Development Manager will bring extensive experience working within the Federal Agencies and should be deeply familiar with the organizational makeup, core missions and strategies of mission systems specific to national security, intelligence, and operations

 

What You Will Accomplish


- Manage and execute the full business development life cycle, including winning new contracts through nurturing relationships

- Coordinate and lead face-to-face customer meetings with senior management and C-Level Executives

- Create and lead strategic efforts to identify new and emerging opportunities

- Perform market compete analysis, identify gaps, and lead solution development

- Identify large, multi-year deals and develop relationships with key business decision-makers

- Build and maintain relationships within our partner ecosystem, understanding the system integrator and consulting business model and sales cycle

- Consistently provide accurate strategic pipeline forecasts and drive progress on large deals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

- Coordinate closely with sales and marketing to support lead generation initiatives, marketing campaigns, and client outreach

- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

 

*May require up to 25% domestic travel.

*Preferred location: Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia

- 10+ years experience in Federal, Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Government Contracting knowledge

- Strong executive presence and polished

- High energy and positive attitude

- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment

Compensation:

  • The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

  • Compensation Range: 

  • MIN: $175,000 - MID: $250,000 - MAX: $325,000 - Currency: USD
