Job Opportunity: Our team is seeking a talented Capture Manager. This is a remote position, with preference to for candidates to be in the DC Metro area
What You'll Get To Do as a Capture Manager:
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Capture Manager! In this role, you will wear multiple hats and be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, performing ongoing and detailed research, strategizing and building sound solutions, and going above and beyond merely preparing and delivering Gate Reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with program leadership to determine business development strategies and priorities and own the planning activities to drive new business growth in strategic markets.
- Leverage business insights, market trends, and industry experience to help shape and build the business development culture for the team, maintaining Salesforce CRM and managing prospective client engagement, defining a modern capture approach and pipeline for growth, and collaborating with colleagues from operations, product, and development throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Prepare and lead prospective client demonstrations, prepare content and presentations, and deliver client briefings.
- Monitor and assess competitive and market trends, create and implement processes to support business growth, track and manage qualified prospects in the sales pipeline, shape and manage capture initiatives, and serve as the key driver for the end-to-end sales process.
- Manage and oversee Capture activities, including opportunity qualification, bids and proposals, strategic vendor relationships and strategic teaming agreements.
- Support compliance with all aspects of proposals and that proposals are compelling and complete; Write, edit and proofread proposal sections and support volumes, as needed.
- Establish and execute a winning capture strategy for new pursuits, including establishing partnerships for new pursuits and the creation and implementation of Capture and Call Plans.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve capture and proposal best practices, systems, and tools.
- Mentor and train junior staff in all aspects of Capture, particularly on procurement strategies, solution development, persuasive writing, and use of processes/tools/resources.
- Develop, implement, and model the use of standardized processes, tools, templates and information.
- Partner with all levels of technical staff to support new business pursuits.
- Ability and willingness to travel, as needed. (~10%)
- Other duties assigned.
Requirements:
- BS degree with 10+ years of experience leading Capture efforts in support of federal competitive procurements.
- Must be a US citizen; ability to obtain Government Security Clearance, if needed.
- A track record of consistently winning competitive IT services procurements.
- Ability to maintain effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Proven success in the execution of all phases of capture efforts, including deal strategy development, solution development, teaming strategy and development, proposal management, and solution marketing.
- Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including targeting, opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, and relationship development with partner organizations.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting vehicles including GWACs and agency specific vehicles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, and an ability to wear multiple hats and multi-task.
