The Business Development Leader is responsible for driving growth with key OEM partners and fabricators based in the west coast of US by identifying and developing new business opportunities via promoting existing products and market back product innovation. He/she will work closely with the customer design & technical teams to identify unmet needs & attractive opportunities, and work with global and regional business/technical teams to develop the opportunities into revenue.
The candidate must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with excellent analytic, facilitation, and communication skills.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Form strong external relationships at the senior engineering levels in the market, including existing and new potential partners as well as an industry network with OEM’s and fabricators.
• Complete market analysis & develop business cases for new opportunities
• Continually investigate, monitor, and refine Voice of Customer (VOC) through the customer’s product development cycle via OEM engagement and fabricators.
• Determine value propositions for key end use segments; provide and refine Critical to Quality (CTQ’s) assessments for product development.
• Work with internal and external teams to drive business development for existing and new products from ideas to revenue – including but not limited to Applications, Technology, Product Management, Supply and Sales teams.
• Develop and own short and long-term business development plan and manage the ongoing development pipeline.
• Research competition and competitive offerings; determine competitive advantages and risks; forecast potential competitive responses and develop mitigation strategies.
• Contract negotiation and execution in conjunction with the Legal team
QUALIFICATION PROFILE:
• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical Engineering or related Science/Engineering Degree. MBA is preferred.
• At least 7 years work experience in commercially oriented roles, including marketing, business development, sales, or strategy
• Experience in the electronics industry, preferably in high frequency and high-speed data applications, flexible circuits or printed circuit board (PCB) industries.
• Demonstrated record in driving execution and delivering on business commitments.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build & grow trusted professional relationships with key customers & partners
• Team player with ability to communicate effectively with cross-function, cross-country teams in the global organization. Chinese language skills would be an advantage.
• Intellectual curiosity coupled with a strong drive towards execution
• Entrepreneurial, self-starter and comfortable working with ambiguity
• Prospecting Skills and Professionalism
• Ability & willingness to travel (up to 20%)
