PeopleCert is looking for a Business Development Associate to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base within their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have experience in building a strong sales pipeline, acquiring new business, and fostering long-term client relationships.As a Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Your proactive approach to sales and relationship management will be essential in driving the company's success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the Language Portfolio (LanguageCert), ensuring growth and market expansion within their territory.

As a Business Development Associate, your tasks will include the following: 

  • Identify potential Language Exam delivery partners and recognition institutes through market mapping and competitor analysis.
  • Support campaigns, manage mailing lists, localize content, handle inquiries, and qualify leads for Business Development Managers.
  • Ensure smooth partner onboarding, monitor SLAs, coordinate with internal teams, and review accreditation pipelines.
  • Identify and convert up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, collaborating on sales strategies with Business Development Managers.
  • Conduct regular partner reviews, analyze performance, and ensure alignment with annual budget goals.
  • Address partner inquiries, direct requests to relevant teams, and ensure SLA adherence for timely issue resolution.
  • Gather customer feedback, communicate insights to internal teams, and support business development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, sales activities, and follow CRM guidelines. 

 
What we look for: 

  • University Degree preferably in Marketing or Business Administration, a Master’s degree and relevant international certifications will be appreciated.
  • 2 years of previous working experience; experience in business development and sales area is desired.
  • Experience of the ELT sector will be valued, whether academically or commercially.
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
  • Excellent command of Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • Advanced computer literacy. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.
  • Experience in an international environment and ability to deal with different cultures will be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to deal with different cultures and work under pressure
  • Ability to prepare numerical reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills (both verbal and writing).
