We are currently looking for:

Business Development and Sales Manager (m/f)

Location: Filton, Bristol

Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

 Duties

  • Ensure the sales of Testia’s products, solutions and NDT training services through demonstrations, customer meetings and customer product training to include but not limited to: Senior management, technical operators, MRO, Maintenance Centres, Airlines, Training Centres, NDT Service Companies, Freelance Inspectors, Engine companies

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

  • Write quotes for off-the-shelf products and manage the full sales process

  • Support team leaders in their local commercial actions

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Building close relationships with Testia training facilities to better understand individual needs and transpose these into a long-term development plan

  • Strategise the business plan to reflect customer feedback and requirements to develop the portfolio of Testia

  • Continually monitor the requirements from each region and implement adaptations to better reflect the marketplace in each region

  • Generate leads with industry to expand the customer base of Testia, focusing on Engine sector

  • Define and propose, in support of the Management, the commercial actions to be carried out and ensure the follow-up of: prospecting for new customers, Key account management and diversification opportunities

  • Support regional entities in delivering presentations and material to prospective customers

  • Plan and implement regular Testia hosted events for industry to attend

  • Liaise with the Industrial product teams based both in France and in Germany to incorporate Testia’s tools and services into the training organisation

  • Respond to large calls for tenders, provide advice & guidance to support the relevant teams write and coordinate the corresponding RFQ’s

  • Participate in the internal deployment of knowledge sharing so that each employee is able to promote effectively Testia’s training portfolio and products

  • Report any necessary market information: competition action, market price, user feedback, etc.

  • Devise and build a marketing strategy to strengthen Testia’s presence and diversify into new markets

  • Carry out defined promotional and prospecting actions to identify new development opportunities, create and lead technical-commercial programs, e.g. forums, exhibitions, business meetings

  • Be an interface between Testia subsidiaries and participate in the Group's business development execution

  • Participate in the definition of the need for corporate marketing materials (event signage, press, brochures, media, web content and social media) by relying on the communication/marketing teams and participate in the writing of these materials

  • Provide a (monthly) dashboard of actions and activities

  • Utilise and deliver reports from the global sales pipeline tracker

  • Manage business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of the organisation

  • Work on requirements provided by senior management whenever called upon

  • Attend trade shows as a representative of Testia

 

Our requirements

Essential:

  • Must have a technical and business mindset

  • Trained as an engineer or university degree, with dual technical/business development, commercial or technical-commercial skills

  • Knowledge of the Aerospace industry as well as other industries (Military, Engines, Automotive, Renewable etc.) to aid Testia’s diversification program

  • Adapted to work in a growing innovative SME

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Independent and structured way of working

  • Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility

  • Willingness to travel

  • Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving business growth

Desirable:

  • A good knowledge of materials, mechanics, NDT, instrumentation and physics

  • The ability to competently demonstrate the tools and equipment that Testia develops.

  • +5 years within the Aerospace sector.

  • Experience of sales within the aviation engine sector

  • A good knowledge of ERP and CRM systems

  • German or Spanish language skills desirable

  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing technical sales and EN4179 NDT training

  • Demonstrable experience of liaison and relationship building at C-Suite level through to operational/engineering level is desirable

  • Strong understanding of non-destructive testing methods, technologies, and applications is highly desirable.

Salary: circa £43,000 & Bonus: 10% (twice per year)
