Job Description:
As a Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of our organization. Together with a team of experienced colleagues, you will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting and ensuring that our financial operations are efficient and effective. Your insights will support strategic decision-making and contribute to the overall success of the company.

A Day’s Work:

Throughout the day, a business controller acts as a liaison between financial and non-financial stakeholders, ensuring that financial information is accurately reported and analyzed to support decision-making

• Team Meetings: Participate in or lead meetings with the finance team to discuss ongoing projects, financial performance, and any issues that need addressing.
• Review Financial Reports: Start the day by reviewing financial reports and statements from the previous day. This includes checking for any discrepancies and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Budget Management: Work on developing and managing the company's budget. This involves creating forecasts, analyzing performance against the budget, and making adjustments as needed
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess the company's financial health. This includes analyzing financial statements, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve financial performance
• Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, as well as ad hoc reports as required.
• Cost Control: Oversee cost management processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to ensure the company maintains an efficient cost structure

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
• Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to optimize financial processes.
• Support the development of business cases for new projects and investments.

Who We are Looking For:

• Education:          Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience:        Experience as Business Controller or similar role. 2nd or 3rd career step.
• Skills:                  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attributes:          Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Tools:                  Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
• Communication: Strong communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Language: Proficient in both Dutch and English.
