Purpose of Job:

The Business to Business Sales Rep will initiate, grow and maintain business relationships and generate revenues from commercial accounts and consumer program accounts located within specified market boundaries.

Job Components:

  • Achieve specific revenue and gross profit margin objectives.
  • Provide sales leadership, support local retail staff, and team with telesales.  - 15%
  • Provide sales proposals, conduct sales meetings with commercial accounts in existing client base.   - 35%
  • Provide sales proposals, arrange and conduct sales meetings with commercial prospects, i.e. cold-calling. - 35%
  • Network within the local community to establish relationships within schools, churches, and other organizations for implementation of consumer programs. - 15%

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.
  • 2-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within a related industry.
  • History of participation in work team competitions, i.e. activities which require long-term commitment to a goal, teamwork, and individual self-discipline.
  • Experience with/knowledge of businesses, schools, churches, and other community organizations with which this position will work.
  • Proficient in MS Word
  • Must have clean driving record and able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Scope Data:

  • Responsible for achieving revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Responsible for identifying purchasing requirements and developing value propositions directed towards commercial accounts and prospects.
  • Responsible for initiating, growing, and maintaining relationships with prospects.
  • Responsible for commercial sales efforts, productivity, and revenue of assigned All Battery Centers.
  • Responsible for generating sales presentations.
  • 90-day initial review; annual thereafter.

Work Environment:

  • Will spend prolonged periods of time on the phone
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
  • Work involves some possible delivery driving duties. 
  • Work is performed primarily in a retail store setting, however, may be exposed to dirt, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness and battery acid, typical of a warehouse environment in this business.
  • Stress associated with workplace pressure and the retail environment. 
  • Extensive travel
  • Overtime as required
