Due to our ambition to expand, we are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Business Architecture to join our Strategy, Transformation and Architecture practice.
About ST&A
Our Strategy Transformation and Architecture practice is specialized in designing and implementing solutions for business challenges in in the financial sector. The assignments can relate to topics such as system landscape renewal, redesign of data architecture, regulatory changes, process optimization, business integration and separation, location strategies.
Our consultants grow from all-round business analysts into business architects or SME’s in the financial sector. They work on diverse assignments as business analysis, process modelling, process and data analysis and product and project management.
Our team is internationally and culturally diverse and is the largest practice within Synechron Nederland.
About the role
As a senior management consultant in Business Architecture, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing tailored transformation approaches to meet business requirements within the financial services sector. You will be responsible for setting up and steering projects/programs towards success, addressing the unique challenges faced by major financial institutions. You will bridge the gap between the business and IT, and between the strategy and the project execution. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, strong financial knowledge, and the ability to drive projects from conception to completion.
You should be able to:
- Lead and manage end-to-end projects, from initial scoping and planning to implementation.
- Design Business Architecture specific deliverables, such as Target Operating Models (TOM).
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring project goals, progress, and impacts are effectively conveyed and understood.
- Draft, interpret and improve architecture diagrams and artifacts on business processes or system landscapes.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing financial processes, systems, and operations to identify areas of improvement.
- Mentor, challenge and inspire colleagues to foster professional growth and ensuring the highest standards of project execution.
- Project reviewer to ensure project quality

What You Bring:
- Excellent communication skills at business level in English and Dutch
- You currently reside in the Netherlands
- Currently residing in the Netherlands.
- Experience as senior manager within a consulting firm, or as an internal consultant in the financial services industry, preferably working with major banks.
- Interest in working in financial services
- Experience with (Business) Architecture
- Experienced in, or motivated to learn, setting up and leading projects
- Curiosity to learn new things and eager to continuously develop yourself
- Certification in architecture methodologies such as TOGAF and Archimate is preferred
- Proficient in project management and change methodologies such as Prince II, MSP, (scaling) Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and Lean Six Sigma
