Project Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to join our Funds Project Management Office in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will lead and oversee projects from inception to completion for our FCM business unit across the globe. Our new team member will be onboarded in the office by the team manager and post this will have the opportunity to run a large variety of projects with the support of the existing Funds PMO team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of projects from start to finish.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial budgets.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide regular project updates and manage expectations.
- Formally present the project status to senior management.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage dependencies and assumptions.
- Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Manage project teams and provide guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and post-project reviews.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure proper project closure.
- Mentor more junior members of the PMO team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position in the funds industry at an international organisation.
- Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Additional spoken languages, such as Dutch & French are a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

- Ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering value to the business.
- Time management and resource planning expertise.
Work Environment:
- This role requires working in our Amsterdam office at least 3 days a week, with the flexibility of 2 days a week from home post onboarding period. Occasional travel for site visits or client meetings is typical for this role.
