The Opportunity
The Business Analytics Consultant will focus on delivering reporting and analytics in support of our annuity business. With general guidance you will be responsible for the collection, organization, analysis and dissemination of significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. You'll have an opportunity to use your reporting and data analytics skills to provide a detailed understanding of how our business works and you will be responsible for analyzing sales data and reporting it to our teams and clients in an easy-to-understand format.

Third-Party Distribution and New Markets includes the company's third-party, worksite, direct-to-consumer and new markets efforts, focused on innovative ways to reach more people with the financial solutions they need. The team has an unrelenting focus on delivering long-term financial security and value to our policyowners, and takes a collaborative, inclusive approach to executing our strategy.
The Impact
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Equip organization with crucial reporting and data to support driving results, increasing sales, recruiting, and retention in the third-party market.
- Responsible for the collection, organization, analysis and dissemination of significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interpret requirements into meaningful insights and partner with sales leadership to meet the needs of customers.
- Identify/develop key performance indicators.
- Monitor, organize and prioritize all client requests and perform timely assessment for all data/analysis requests.
- Responsible for ad hoc reporting design and support.
- Responsible for key statistics and daily/weekly/monthly updates to leadership.
- Leverage management data, prepare timely high-quality, clear and succinct materials for monthly business meetings and other business execution needs, including senior or executive-level presentations, reports and communications which look to advance revenue and sales, analyze trends and explore profitability across the segments.
- May manage the revenue share reporting and payment program according to distribution agreements.
- May support the creation of presentations and materials from a business/data analytics perspective.
- May build and provide support for the Variable Incentive Compensation plans.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in a reporting or analytical position
- 1+ year of experience with Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
- 1+ year of experience using PowerPoint
The Ideal Qualifications
- Prior experience in Financial Services, including familiarity with distribution datasets.
- Data analytics/reporting experience with annuity products
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
- Proficient in Tableau or MicroStrategy.
- Strong organizational, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business and financial acumen and ability to think strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to partner with sales leaders within distribution organization.
- Ability to listen to and understand and integrate the needs, interests, perspectives of internal and external partners into reporting.

Salary Range: $78,000.00-$102,400.00
