About the Role

As a Business Analyst on Uber Freight’s Last Mile team, you will play a key role in shaping operational strategies, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving data-driven decision-making. You will work cross-functionally to develop reporting structures, optimize processes, and provide insights that enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about using data to solve complex logistics challenges.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Design and implement KPI frameworks from scratch to measure and improve last-mile delivery performance. 
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in last-mile logistics. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Work closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to identify data needs and drive insights that inform strategic initiatives. 
  • Support the development of forecasting models to predict demand, capacity, and delivery performance. 
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements, cost reductions, and service enhancements based on data analysis. 
  • Act as a key stakeholder in building scalable analytics infrastructure as the Last Mile team expands. 
  • Present findings and actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics, operations analysis, or a similar role, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or last-mile delivery. 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI). 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a start-up mindset. 
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter attitude. 
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis is a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of logistics, transportation networks, or supply chain management is preferred. 

Benefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees

Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.  US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.

Illinois: The target base salary for this position is between $81,200 to $106,800 + 8% bonus
