About the Role
As a Business Analyst on Uber Freight’s Last Mile team, you will play a key role in shaping operational strategies, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving data-driven decision-making. You will work cross-functionally to develop reporting structures, optimize processes, and provide insights that enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about using data to solve complex logistics challenges.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Design and implement KPI frameworks from scratch to measure and improve last-mile delivery performance.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in last-mile logistics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to identify data needs and drive insights that inform strategic initiatives.
- Support the development of forecasting models to predict demand, capacity, and delivery performance.
- Provide recommendations on process improvements, cost reductions, and service enhancements based on data analysis.
- Act as a key stakeholder in building scalable analytics infrastructure as the Last Mile team expands.
- Present findings and actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business analytics, operations analysis, or a similar role, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or last-mile delivery.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a start-up mindset.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of logistics, transportation networks, or supply chain management is preferred.

Illinois: The target base salary for this position is between $81,200 to $106,800 + 8% bonus
