Key Responsibilities
- Work Intake & Prioritization:
- Design and manage structured work intake processes in Azure DevOps, ensuring requests are captured, reviewed, and prioritized efficiently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Work with Product Owners and technical leads to triage new work items and facilitate backlog grooming.
- Workflow Design & Optimization:
- Develop and maintain custom workflows in ADO, including boards, pipelines, and automation rules.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing work intake and delivery processes, proposing solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper traceability and visibility of work items across teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable work items.
- Facilitate meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives related to work intake and process refinement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in ADO to track work progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Process Improvement & Governance:
- Implement best practices for Agile delivery and DevOps work tracking.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, including role-based access control and workflow policies.
- Support training and adoption of ADO workflows across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- Strong expertise in Azure DevOps (Boards, Work Items, Pipelines, Queries, Dashboards, etc.).
- Experience in work intake processes, backlog management, and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and best practices for work management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and collaborate with technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government IT projects or large enterprise environments.
- Certification in Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile (CSPO, SAFe), or ITIL.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools for ADO analytics and reporting.
