Business Analyst, Advanced - 2308

 Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Analyst, Advanced for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

Support our client in a potential multiyear effort to serve as a liaison between the business community and the client to provide technical solutions that meet the Department’s needs. 

1. Possess and apply expertise in the OIT’s business unit(s) they support and an understanding of the Department’s systems and capabilities.
2. Analyze OIT’s business unit(s) operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
3. Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
4. Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the OIT and manage changes to such specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant technical or business work experience.
• Experience serving as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
• Experience and expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.
• Experience analyzing business unit operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
• Experience assisting in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
• Experience translating high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and managing changes to such specifications.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. (Proficient in English)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with Microsoft .NET Programming

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or 5 years equivalent work experience.
