Job Title: Transformers – Global Component Engineer – Oil & Chemicals

How You'll Make an Impact
Develop and maintain standardized component requirements to ensure consistency and quality across all projects. Collaborate with global engineering teams to unify material specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards. Define and drive material standardization for specifications and sizes across the business unit. Clarify global test methods for critical quality parameters of suppliers' parts and materials. Provide technical expertise to the sourcing team in identifying and assessing category suppliers. Assist in negotiating technical requirements and specifications with suppliers for optimal quality and cost-effectiveness. Act as a technical expert in component engineering, guiding, and supporting project teams. Stay updated with the latest advancements in component technologies and materials to drive innovation.
Your Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 2-3 years of experience. Preferred experience in the transformer industry and a strong background in supplier technology development. Advanced knowledge of component engineering and material specifications. Proven ability to develop and implement standardized solutions for component usage. Familiarity with SAP S/4Hana and Windchill preferred. Strong understanding of part qualification processes, quality standards, and practices in component engineering. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
