About the team .
This role reports to the Marketing Manager - Meals and Veg. Essential to performing the requirements are close cross functional ties specifically with Category, Sales, Marketing, Production and Supply Chain to ensure delivery of the marketing plans by account. The Brand Manager needs to have well directed energy and be able to quickly identify and execute critical brand, NPD and campaign opportunities to ensure the delivery of business objectives.

This role is based in Melbourne and is a 12-month maternity leave contract.

  • Takes active ownership of building the portfolio strategy into brand plans
  • Design an implementation and execution plan that is aligned to the Masterbrand strategy
  • Actively drive all elements of the innovation process from product development to launch
  • Capture key consumer and market insights and translate these into commercial opportunities
  • Develop creative and innovative marketing activation campaigns and evaluate the effectiveness of these
  • Assist with the investigation of complaints in respect to quality, delivery or service
  • Develop and present category reviews to Retail customers
  • Regularly review SKU margins/costs against agreed key performance indicators
  • Management of the Vegetables A&P budget
  • Develop print packaging and associated marketing collateral

About you .
Experience:

  • At least 4 years' experience in marketing, ideally FMCG food
  • Extensive NPD and project management experience, preference for FMCG Food experience
  • Proven track record in collaboratively leading teams


Qualifications:

  • Degree qualifications in Marketing or related field


Skills:

  • Sound commercial and financial acumen and technical/operational exposure including corporate business planning and budgeting
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally, and adaptable to fast paced, changing and ambiguous environments whilst maintaining accountability
  • Highly organised with premium analytical skills able to effectively interpret and present large amounts of information with strong attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to inspire results
  • Organised and methodical in budgeting, planning and reporting
  • Proficient level of computer literacy, in particular MS Project, MS Office. Proficient in IRI or AC Nielsen
  • Courage to challenge the status quo
