Position Summary

The Tyson Foods Brand Design team, which is part of the Enterprise Growth Team, is committed to delivering cohesive, memorable, and premium design experiences. We understand that best-in-class design creates a competitive advantage while also being a business driver that enables growth. As we build the vision for brand design, we are looking for a Brand Design Manager to help shape, define and build the future of Tyson’s legacy brands, including Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Sara Lee, Aidell’s, Ball Park and Wright Brand Bacon.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Bring to life the global brand design vision and brand purpose
  • Independently manage multiple large-scale projects under tight timelines
  • Guide and manage external agency partners to create break-through and award-winning work
  • Infuse storytelling and brand purpose into design
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal partners across different functions and levels
  • Co-create thorough and strategic brand design briefs that clearly articulate the scope and deliverables of a project
  • Partner with packaging production team to ensure accurate design intent
  • Help design, develop and implement robust brand architecture frameworks that serve to maintain brand consistency and inspire best-in-class design
  • Oversee and manage timelines, project deadlines, budgets, invoices and SOWs
  • Art direct and lead complex photoshoots
  • Attend press checks, review and approve proofs
  • Develop competitive design audits that will be used to inform and educate the brand team
  • Help develop and deploy internal design training modules to inform and educate marketers and cross-functional teams

Who you will work with?

You will report to the Head of Global Brand Design and will collaborate with the cross-functional teams to effectively bring brand strategy to life. You will manage projects from conceptualization to design development and finalization and lead our roster of talented brand design agency partners to ensure our projects are delivered to the Tyson standard of excellence. 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in design or related field

5+ years of experience as a proven strategic brand design manager

Comprehensive CPG experience

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the creative process from ideation through implementation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set realistic expectations
  • Skilled in developing brand identity, design strategy, and design innovation
  • Versed in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Illustrator, Keynote and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of AI framework, tools and platforms
  • Familiarity working within established brand guidelines and extensive design tools
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Self-starter, thinker and doer. Organized, disciplined and resilient. Energized by challenges.
  • Solid understanding of brand design fundamentals and problem solving as demonstrated by your portfolio

Where is the role situated?

The Brand Design Manager will work onsite at our global headquarters in Springdale, AR. We are seeking a candidate currently located in Northwest Arkansas or someone willing to relocate. Remote work or hybrid options are not available
