As a BPA Manager, you'll support BPA activities and processes globally related to standard costing and its implications for both actuals and planning cycles. This role is pivotal in providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to our leadership team. You'll be at the forefront of financial strategy, ensuring accuracy and transparency while embracing innovative solutions to enhance our operations.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Supporting the yearly TPC update process across the organisation, ensuring full transparency & reconciliation of changes implemented in standards and their implications to the P&L and balance sheet within defined responsibility (selected Platforms & areas)

Supporting the TPC Lead in the preparation of TPC Committees, ensuring proper pre-reads & minutes are documented, with a broad understanding of business cases presented & recommendations, all according to the Novartis Accounting Manual & Product Costing Manual

Following up on decisions taken, ensuring their implementation and adherence to company policies and procedures

Proactively communicating and proposing decisions related to standard costing impacting P&L, proposing & running early warning systems for financial tracking, ensuring accurate advance warning for financial results driven by internal or external factors

Delivering core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information, leading the development of detailed budget and financial forecasts for use in Global and Regional, country and Business Unit (BU) planning

Conducting value-added analyses to support management decision-making processes

Actively challenging existing processes and their improvement & adaptation to changes in the organisation, extending automation & digitalisation within the area of responsibilities, bringing added value to the organisation
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential for the role:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or relevant finance certifications

Proven expertise in financial management and product costing

Strong project and process management skills
-
Experience in developing and managing business cases
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling

Ability to partner effectively with business units

Solution-driven and pragmatic approach

Proficiency in managing large databases

High learning agility and curiosity for new technologies

Adaptability to changing environments
Desirable for the role:

Experience in automation and digitalisation within financial processes
