Job Description

Are you a highly detail-oriented individual with prior invoicing and collection experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment? If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you as a Billing Manager within our Accounting team. You will be responsible for leading the accounts receivable (AR) team by overseeing AR operations, including close collaboration with various departments to ensure the precise and efficient handling of customer billing processes. We issue 1000 to 1200 invoices per month.

Some examples of duties are:

  • Maintain an accurate and updated billing system to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Oversee and assist in generating and dispatching invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Scrutinize sales orders to verify the correctness of billing setups.
  • Execute billing and reporting tasks in adherence to predetermined deadlines.
  • Oversee the management of Tax Exemption Certificates, including timely follow-ups and requests as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing and resolving customer inquiries via shared email platforms.
  • Foster effective communication by liaising with internal personnel and promptly addressing inquiries.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the billing process.
  • Assist in daily collections of past due accounts.
  • Serve as a backup resource for payment processing and cash applications when necessary.
  • Mentor and coach employees to constantly improve and reach their personal career goals.
  • Helps drive strategic process ownership, proactive improvement initiatives, and effective automation strategies, consistently delivering measurable improvements in operational efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a management role is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance roles, preferably within the consulting or technology industries.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with various accounting software (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, SAP, NetSuite). ConnectWise experience is preferred. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor other junior staff members.
  • Ability to work independently while embodying Resultant's culture and core values.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Desire to mentor others as they progress in their career paths.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

This is a remote role, but preference will be given to candidates residing in Eastern or Central Time.
