Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect / Developer to join our Emerging Solutions team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-native applications and data-driven solutions across various AWS services. You will work on complex AWS environments—leveraging services like Lambda (Python), AI/ML platforms (e.g., Bedrock AI, Lex, Polly), and advanced security and analytics frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in AWS architecture and development, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver impactful client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement AWS architectures that meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
- Advise on best practices for cost optimization, performance tuning, and resource management.
- Application Development
- Develop and maintain robust, production-grade AWS Lambda functions (primarily in Python).
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems, leveraging AWS services such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and more.
- Data & AI/ML Integration
- Incorporate AI/ML services like Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, and Bedrock AI into solutions to enable advanced analytics and intelligent automation.
- Implement secure data flows and analytics pipelines, ensuring adherence to compliance and governance requirements.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement strong encryption mechanisms and IAM best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Stay updated on relevant compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP) and integrate them into solutions as needed.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance to junior developers and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with AWS best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables.
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and architectural diagrams.
- Evaluate new AWS offerings and emerging technologies for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Consulting Collaboration
- Work closely with consulting teams to align technical solutions with strategic business objectives and client needs.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and development experience.
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM) and proficiency with Python for serverless development.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate (or higher) is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in building RESTful APIs, integrating third-party systems, and automating workflows using AWS services.
- Familiarity with encryption, IAM policies, and industry-standard compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in management consulting or technical advisory is a plus but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Data Analytics Specialty, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
- Working knowledge of Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, or other AI/ML platforms like Bedrock AI.
- Experience with IoT services (AWS IoT Core) or real-time data streaming (Kinesis).
- Familiarity with Scrum or other agile frameworks.
- Experience in healthcare, telecommunications, or government sectors.
