Job Overview:
The Assistant Vice President, Public Relations will serve as a public relations lead for recruiting announcements and broader PR efforts. The person in this role will be responsible for creating and leading public relations campaigns, including earned and social media, thought leadership positioning and executive visibility.
This person brings a multi-stakeholder, business-driven mindset to communications, with the ability to be proactive while also being mindful of potential reputational risks. As a subject matter expert within the public relations function, this person will have excellent partnership skills with an ability to quickly identify areas for action. They will have a combination of experiences and transferrable skills that enable them to articulate pr campaign strategies, to combine long term strategic thinking with an ability to opportunistically participate in news cycles and to report on results using data-driven measurement.
Responsibilities:

Create and execute press releases, earned media relations campaigns including media pitching and measurement.

Prepare executive spokespersons for media interviews using prepared key messages and media Q&A.

Regularly collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter expert partners (Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Marketing, etc.) to ensure messaging alignment and coordination of communications activities.

Develop, grow and maintain relevant media relationships to supplement the support from outside PR agency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent field.

5+ years of public relations experience or a mix of public relations and communications. Some regulatory/policy experience is a plus.

5+ years of experience with reactive and proactive media relations.

Pay Range:
$98,400-$164,000/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
