Job Summary

The Product Owner, Automation, is responsible for leading scrum teams as a product owner that maximizes the value of Intelligent Automation platforms (RPA, ML, AI, etc,). The Product Owner, Automation, plans and delivers on prioritized Intelligent Automation work streams while championing Intelligent Automation support strategy & requirements with IT and other downstream partners throughout the lifecycle of the agile project management. As the Product Owner, leads scrum teams that maximizes the value of Intelligent Automation platforms (RPA, ML, AI, etc,).


 

Essential Job Functions

  • Automation Build: Assess development value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy. Translates Product Manager’s strategy into actionable tasks and works with cross-functional agile teams to make sure that they are executing on those requirements. Partners closely with Product Managers on product strategy and breaking down the roadmap into features and user stories. Works with the appropriate team members to gather requirements. Lead the build part of the Plan-Build-Run strategy with the Product Owner. Serves as a point of contact between business sponsors/stakeholders and agile team during a project and in the delivery cycles (Design, Build, Test). Provides coaching and training to associates interested in Intelligent Automation technology platforms
  • Automation Run: Plans and prioritizes disaster recovery (DR), product support and maintenance. Develops support KPIs and holds team accountable. Establishes and operationalize the DevOps practice for Intelligent Automation. Plans and facilitates the DR testing of Intelligent Automation platforms. Translates Product Manager’s strategy into actionable tasks and works with cross-functional agile teams to make sure that they are delivering on support and run commitments. Lead the run part of the Plan-Build-Run strategy with the Product Owner. Ensures development and documentation of Operational Handbook for Intelligent Automation support.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Works closely with cross functional stakeholders to manage and deliver on RPA and intelligent automation initiatives. Partners with various IT delivery team and business domain stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the highest quality and in line with cost targets.
  • Works closely with cross functional stakeholders to provide optimal support to RPA and intelligent automation solution in production. Serves as a point of contact between business sponsors/stakeholders and agile team in production issue or outage situations (Deployment, support, DevOps, process analytics). Communicates financial and goal results and key performance indicators to direct reports, partners and leaders via multiple channels. Regularly engages with stakeholders to understand their needs, evaluates value received from delivered functionality, elicits feedback and support, and communicates plans for the Intelligent Automation capability. Partners with IT teams, Information Security and other internal teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Strategy: Follows enterprise standards of service delivery process (incidents, change controls, and problem management), root cause, and manages Intelligent Automation DevOps. Partner with various IT delivery team and business domain stakeholders to ensure timely support of the highest quality and in line with cost targets. Assist leading the product release plans and set expectation for support of new functionalities. Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful resolution of support items. Provide input to Intelligent Automation product vision, road-map and growth opportunities. Works with the Development Team and Scrum Master to choose and optimize the techniques used to refine and represent backlog Items. Accountable to ensure Backlog Items (stories and features) and their Acceptance Criteria are understood by the Development Team. Engages in issue resolution; ability to solve complex issues through pattern recognition and creative problem solving.
  • Leadership: Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal and team growth opportunities.

Reports to: Product Manager or Sr. Manager

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment, some travel may be required.
  • This position is hybrid with an onsite schedule of 3-4 days per month. In-office requirements are subject to change based on business needs. This position is currently available to candidates that reside within 60 miles of Columbus, OH.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business/IT related field 
  • Three or more Years work experience in IT Automation

Preferred Experience:

  • Two or more years in Project Management
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Some experience with Intelligent Automation (RPA, ML, AI, Document Understanding, etc.)

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$87,900.00 - $159,200.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00Maryland: $92,200.00 - $175,100.00Washington DC: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00Illinois: $87,900.00 - $175,100.00New Jersey: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period.   Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
