Job Title: MSP Automation Engineer
Reports To: CIO / CTO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Overview: Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the MSP Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, testing and implementing automated processes across the organization using SQL, PowerShell, RMM Scripting via Connectwise Automate and RPA platforms like Rewst and Immybot.
Essential Functions
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems
- Designing and testing automation
- Programming new automated components
- Identifying quality issues and writing reports
- Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development
- Collaborating with other business units
- Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
- Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system.

- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, vendors, and management
- Documents work processes as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- 1 year or greater of experience with programming languages including Jinja, Python, .NET, or others
- Experience working with APIs preferred
- Experience with RPA tools like Rewst and Immybot preferred
- Experience with RMM tools including Connectwise Automate
- Experience with PSA tools including Connectwise Manage
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Adherence to all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to standards for safety,
attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
Physical Requirements
- Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
- Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly with clients in person and over the telephone.
- Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted. Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
