The AutoCAD Drafter/Designer (DD) will partner with Project Managers and Engineers, as well as contractors, to prepare and complete drawings and designs in a timely and cost-effective organized manner. The Drafter/Designer will facilitate various projects and complete assignments while meeting all committed timelines in a productive environment. This is a "hands-on" position responsible for handling multiple assignments at any one time while visiting various facilities and/or jobsites.

Job Description

• Create and revise designs and drawings in using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) programs such as AutoCAD or Inventor
• Prepare straightforward 3D models and 2D detailed drawings of floor plans, production lines, production machinery and mechanical parts.
• Create engineering drawing packages to include design specifications, dimensions, tolerances and material lists for fabrication and manufacturing.
• Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & ID's)
• Coordinate and consult with peers and managers on design, layout and or detail components and systems to resolve issues or construction constraints
• Review specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to complete work assigned.
• Maintain drawing filing system of all drawings by projects
• Work on site with Project Manager, Engineers and Contractors assisting with project installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in process equipment design and manufacturing, Food & Beverage process equipment design preferred but not necessary.
• High School Diploma or Certificate / Degree or related education in Computer Drafting/Design
• Familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines including Structural, Civil, Electrical, Utilities, and/or Mechanical
• Inventor / AutoCAD proficient – thorough working knowledge of model/layout space, xrefs, blocks, viewports, layers, ortho and snap settings, scaling, dimensioning
• Adhere to the principals of manufacturing, OSHA and MSHA safety guidelines
• Knowledge of and ability to read drawings/blueprints
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both written and verbally
• Ability to work overtime as required

Pay Range: $69,000 - $71,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
