The Senior Atlassian Cloud Administrator will be in charge of managing a suite of Atlassian Cloud products and marketplace apps. This role involves supporting, maintaining, and optimising these tools across the organisation to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
The Atlassian product suite is extensively used to facilitate change management, track technical deliverables, and support reporting and measurement. It is a critical component of our customer's operational framework. The successful candidate will oversee the cloud ecosystem, advocate for and support functionalities within the cloud environment, and ensure robust governance and oversight. This role will maintain and enhance the effective and consistent use of Atlassian products and apps, aligning with the principles of transparency, accountability, ownership, and collaboration.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Provide forward-thinker and rigorous oversight to ensure precise billing with Atlassian, taking prompt remedial action to address discrepancies and prevent billing issues
- Manage releases from Atlassian, assess their impact, and support the introduction of new functionalities, including testing in a sandbox environment and communicating necessary changes to end users
- Leverage new cloud functionalities such as automation rules to optimise product use and improve operational processes
- Facilitate and manage the discovery, testing, and implementation of new product add-ons where required
- Introduce automation and integration with non-Atlassian products to drive efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and the Atlassian Admin team to identify requirements and procedural efficiencies, providing best-in-class solutions
- Ensure configurations and schemes are optimised within the instance, including Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, issue types, and permission schemes
- Promptly address and resolve user requests and incidents related to the Atlassian ecosystem in coordination with internal teams and Atlassian support
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud products (Jira, Confluence, JSM)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile frameworks
- Proficiency in Jira Automation Rules, JQL, and Advanced Roadmaps
- Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns
- Experience integrating Atlassian products with Microsoft and other platforms
- Knowledge of governance, data quality, and billing management for Atlassian Cloud
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience with marketplace apps such as Tempo Timesheets, ScriptRunner, and Zephyr
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., ScriptRunner Groovy)
- Knowledge with Jira Product Discovery and EazyBI
