Job Description:
In this position as an Associate Software Engineer, you'll get the opportunity to work on the following:
Your daily responsibilities will focus on:
- Developing applications and services to efficiently transform, render, and serve weather data.
- Collaboratively learning, evaluating, and improving existing systems and their documentation.
- Investigating problem reports, writing tests, and troubleshooting issues.
- Handling maintenance tasks affecting source code.
- Collaborate with Product Manager(s) on the evolution of the WeatherSentry product suite.
- Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of the software development process.
- Function in a Kanban Agile environment requiring the frequent release of functional code.
What you bring to the team:
- Fluency with Java (Struts, MVC, Hibernate, Velocity).
- Fluency with javascript / jquery.
- Familiarity with either React or Angular.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of a wide range of database technologies.
- Familiarity and working knowledge with HTTP API paradigms like REST.
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, ANT, Atlassian Gitlab , Bamboo, Confluence, and Jira.
- Effective oral, written, and visual communication.
- Diligence, persistence, and attention to detail.
- Desire to learn, help others learn, and grow your technical skills.
- Enthusiasm for technology, your team’s products, and your team.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between PHP 35,000 and PHP 50,000 monthly. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
