Job Description:
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating new features, maintaining, and troubleshooting DTN's product agnostic real-time monitoring and alerting of weather and environmental hazards which is a core capability of DTN's portfolio.
What you are responsible for:
- Analyzes, develops, and tests software features and applications in local and/or cloud-based applications to ensure they meet design requirements in accordance with existing architecture & IT standards.
- Utilizes technical knowledge of current programming language and technologies to write code used in internal, commercial, or end-user applications and performs routine testing and debugging of applications.
- Interacts with cross-functional internal partners and/or customers to understand requirements using defined procedures and practices.
- Participates in quality improvement processes like code reviews and provides constructive feedback.
- Produces documentation and procedures for deployment and operational support.
What you will bring to the role:
- At least 1 year of work experience with NodeJs as the primary language of use.
- Having knowledge of either Java or Python as a secondary skill or at least willing to learn and use these languages.
- Knows the fundamentals of SQL and PostgreSQL
- Has a beginner to intermediate knowledge about Cloud particularly AWS S3, EC2, and other usual AWS services
- Has used Git and GitLab
- Good to have knowledge about SOLID Design Principles
- Good to have worked on REST, FTP, HTTP/S, protocols both for data consumption and data exposure
- Good to have foundational knowledge on ETL
- A self-managing team player
- A can-do attitude with a sense of responsibility and urgency
- Adaptability to change
- Hunger for technology and details
- Challenges the norm and status quo, providing innovative ideas

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between PHP 35,000 and PHP 50,000 monthly. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
