About the Role

The Associate Sales Executive in our Tax & Accounting Professionals Mid Market client segment is responsible for retaining and growing their existing account base and acquiring new accounts within their geographic area of responsibility. Their territory consists of customers and prospects with 1-70 professionals. The Sales Executive position is a Hybrid role, requiring excellent telephone and writing skills.

  • Attain sales and renewal targets and quotas on a monthly basis

  • Demonstrate the use of Tax & Accounting products to the customer

  • Obtain and provide territory information regarding market intelligence and penetration

  • Confer with and assist in customer-related issues as needed to maintain good customer relations

  • Complete weekly sales performance reports and completes all CRM reporting in a timely and accurate manner

  • Drives strategic initiatives supported by assigned account team consisting of Sales Development Representative, Account Development Representative and Solutions Consultants to drive growth in assigned territory

  • Leverage sales automation tools and data insights to engage prospects and expedite sales cycles (such as utilizing Flash/EMS/Salesforce)

  • Attend sales meetings and conventions as required

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in an Account Executive role with proven/consistent track record of quota attainment

  • Software as a Service Sales (SAAS) experience a plus, but not required

  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques

  • Excellent communication skills & presentation skills to maximize phone and virtual client meetings/presentations

  • Strong prospecting and closing skills

  • Ability to win new customers as well as cross sell/upsell existing customers

  • Strong time management and organization skills

  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation

  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred) and overall technical aptitude

  • Continuous learner, flexible and open-minded, positive attitude

  • High level of integrity and understanding of sales ethic

  • Located near one of our three hubs: Ann Arbor, MI; Eagan, MN; Frisco, TX, with the ability to work a hybrid structure, traveling to the office at least 2x/week.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $73,850 - $137,150.

This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
