OVERVIEW:

The Associate Recruiter – Executive Recruiting plays a critical role in supporting the executive hiring process at DICK’S Sporting Goods. This person will be responsible for candidate scheduling, on-site experience management, and executive search support, ensuring a seamless and high-touch experience for every executive candidate from first contact to final interviews.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, executive assistants, and talent acquisition leaders, gaining firsthand experience in the art of executive search. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an exceptional candidate experience.

This is a full time hybrid (remote on Monday and Friday, in office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) role located in Coraopolis, PA.

What You’ll Do:

Candidate Scheduling & Onsite Experience

  • Coordinate complex interview schedules for executive candidates, interfacing with Directors through SVPs and their executive assistants.

  • Own the full onsite candidate experience, from arranging transportation, hotel accommodations, and customized amenities and moments to make sure each candidates visit is both seamless, memorable and highlights why DICK’S is a great place to work

  • Serve as the primary candidate liaison, managing communications via phone and email to make every candidate feel engaged and welcomed.

Executive Search Support & Research

  • Assist with candidate sourcing and market research using LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, and other deep search methodologies to identify top talent.

  • Support the creation of candidate pitch decks, role cards, and hiring updates presented to the C-Suite.

  • Help maintain and refine search strategy decks used to update leadership on ongoing executive searches.

Operational & Administrative Excellence

  • Oversee the coordination of invoicing, vendor relationships, and executive recruiting expenses.

  • Participate in high-level meetings as a note-taker and coordinator, gaining visibility into executive hiring strategy.

  • Maintain and update standardized recruiting templates and documents, assisting with ongoing enhancements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Engaging personality & executive presence – You’ll be interacting with top leadership and high-profile candidates; confidence, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset are essential.

  • Meticulous attention to detail – Bulletproof accuracy in scheduling, reporting, and document creation is a must.

  • Strong written communication skills – You’ll be crafting polished emails, reports, and presentations.

  • Curiosity & relationship-building skills – A natural ability to connect with people, understand what’s important to candidates, and help them see DICK’S Sporting Goods as “home.”

  • Experience in deep research & search methodologies – Ideal candidates have experience in executive recruiting research or library science, LexisNexis, or other advanced research techniques.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment – Executive search moves quickly, and this role requires adaptability, strong prioritization skills, and discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with executive-level reporting and presentation creation is preferred.

  • Experience with executive-level reporting and presentation creation is preferred.

  • Prior experience in working successfully across a large corporation or 1,000+ person employer

  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or Workday are a significant plus

  • Attention to detail – must be meticulous in scheduling, document creation, and candidate coordination.

  • Service-oriented mindset – experience in hospitality, concierge services, or client-facing roles is a strong plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
