The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including: Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
Your Responsibilities:

GIS Substation Single Line Diagram, 3D Model, layouts, sections and detailed erection drawings preparation for tenders or projects based on customer specification.

Prepare Bill of material for tenders or projects based on requirement.

Finalization of Civil Input Requirement, Earthing & Cable Tray Layout.

Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment.

Provide optimized designs on time with standard quality for AIS, GIS, Hybrid and special purpose substations.

Adherence to quality system and contribution to its improvement.

Vendor evaluation by visiting to their facilities.

Responsible for obtaining customer approvals for the designs and drawings.

As-built drawings preparation etc.

Selection of Components from Product database based on project requirement.

Co – ordination with different stakeholders during project execution.

Your Background:

Years of experience: 2 – 7 years with Bachelors Engineering /Diploma in Electrical.

Proficiency in required CAD design tools (Creo / AutoCAD, 3D competence required).

Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc.

Knowledge on High Voltage products. Having knowledge on SAP will be preferred.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
