Position Overview: Within the Outdoor Power Equipment Division of Stanley Black & Decker, we are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our team, which focuses on lawn tractors and zero-turn mowers. In this role, you can maintain major brands and product lines in multiple retail and independent distribution points. The Associate Product Manager will manage model year changes, value optimization, and support various research activities. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to effectively work with others across the organization, including engineering, brand marketing, IT, sales, and supply chain. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.

The Job (responsibilities):

  • Support a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of positioning, gross margins, collateral materials & point-of-purchase
  • Support the Design-To-Value process to ensure the profitability of the Lawn Tractor and Zero Turn product line
  • Support Product Line Reviews at major retailers
  • Manage Model Year transitions and core business activities
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle process
  • Understand the trends in the industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the market and end users.
  • Provide product training to internal and external stakeholders.

The Person (requirements):

  • 1-3 Years of experience in Product Development, Marketing, or Management
  • Financial acumen and analytical ability with a strategic mindset
  • Strong research skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation skills - to be able to create and present product updates
  • End user obsession, consumer-first mindset
  • Ability to work in fast based and nebulous environments
  • A "can-do" attitude - the desire to go above and beyond in all you do
  • Team spirit combined to a high level of autonomy.
  • Role is hybrid with 3-days in office in either Towson, MD or Valley City, OH

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $49,500.00-89,000.00 USD per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
