ABOUT PERSONAL CARE/SKIN CLEANSING (SCL)

Unilever NA Personal Care plays in two attractive categories with a €14.1bn Retail Sales Value; Skin Cleansing (€8.8bn) and Deodorants (€ 5.3bn) and forecasted to grow c. 6% p.a 2025/27 driven by the super-premium (160>) segment. The competitive landscape is made up of two types of players: 1) Global players such as P&G and 2) On-trend disruptors (e.g. Lume, Dr Squatch) with distinct propositions (+160 API) and differentiated (social first) consumer engagement models. Unilever holds market leadership in Skin Cleansing (31.2%) with our two Power Brands (Dove and Dove Men+Care) contributing >80% of the portfolio. Following 18 months of market share decline, the business remains in a turnaround phase; with the SCL starting to deliver market share improvement over the last 12 weeks driven by strong in-market execution, which is expected to sustain. The SCL strategic ambition 2025-27 aims to accelerate, expanding market share in 2025 through a comprehensive growth action plan spanning across brand development, customers and capabilities.  Opportunity exists to further identify strategic growth opportunities for 2025+ via new brand expansion in >160 API for better portfolio competitiveness.
