Your Role
As our (Associate) Finance Manager you help to develop our Finance & Controlling setup and enhance the steering of the business. This is a pivotal role covering all aspects of Finance, including financial modeling, KPI and performance management, and driving Finance projects and initiatives. It represents a unique learning opportunity in the Finance department of a fast growing start-up, reporting directly to our VP Strategic Finance and collaborating closely with the wider Finance team and other departments.

Your Responsibilities
- You help steer the business by analyzing our financial performance against the plan, diving into the underlying drivers and root causes for deviations and reporting it to internal and external stakeholders, such as our investors and banks.
- You focus on streamlining and automating core Finance and Controlling processes while playing a key role in making FINN’s controlling setup best-in-class.
- You are part of the planning and forecasting team that runs our budgeting processes. In your role, you work on the financial model, prepare scenario analyses and collaborate closely with all other departments to validate their inputs and increase our forecasting accuracy continuously.
- You drive your own Finance projects and initiatives and are closely involved in large Finance projects, for example our next fundraising round.
Your Profile
- You graduated in a corporate finance or business-related field of study or have a comparable educational background.
- You have first work experience a fast paced environment, such as investment banking, venture capital, consulting, a start-up or scale up, for example through internships.
- You have good Finance knowledge and master Excel / Google Sheets with ease.
- You are a self-starter with strong analytical skills and you work with great attention to detail.
- You are well organized and an excellent team player.
- You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
