You will join our Product Engineering team that shares a passion for writing great code, embracing new technologies and delivering powerful products within our integrated risk and compliance management platform that helps our customers protect their reputation and bottom line.
As an Associate Director, Software Engineering, you will lead an engineering team focused on our NAVEX One data platform. You will provide technical guidance and oversight as we create a suite of platform data components. Your focus will be on quality implementation while leading and guiding the data engineers. We are looking for a candidate that is strong in both data engineering and people leadership. You will help facilitate and clarify communication with many engineering teams as our data platform ingests their content and provides application specific data sets.

What you’ll do:

Be accountable for and lead business-critical product applications
-
Facilitate the successful execution of projects; develop and lead procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained

Provide leadership in identifying and presenting technology concerns to company and Engineering leaders

Create architecture documentation for software projects and collaborate with software architects and developers in design

Create and manage technical risk assessments for projects

Facilitate the successful execution of software projects

Develop methods to continually improve results

Work closely with other teams to coordinate tasks, schedules, dependencies and resources for major product releases

Hire, develop, coach, and evaluate your team, striving to improve effectiveness
What you’ll need:
-
10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years’ experience managing and leading a wide variety of experienced engineers and architects
-
A successful track record inspiring and developing large teams and managing agile development teams and processes
-
Skilled with change management, process improvement and project management
-
Expert knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards
-
Expert analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems

Expert in ETL and ELT processes, including quality validation, profiling, security, and master data concepts
-
Ability to work well in a team environment and attitude to focus on team specific goals and objectives; building consensus among different groups with competing demands

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and influence others on the best solution
-
Ability to drive results through your job competencies of software program management, systems thinking and technical knowledge

Ability to drive results through NAVEX core competencies of accountability, customer focus, drives results, instills trust, influence, strategic execution and talent development

The starting pay rate for this role is $165,000 per annum with 10% MBO.
