Associate Director, Defense Business Planning and New Market

Job Description:
Associate Director, Defense Business Planning and New Market role leads very important needs within the Defense Programs Organization. Monthly responsibilities will include Sales / Operations Planning (SOP), along with Business Performance Review (BPR) activities and overall Defense End Market Management. Annual responsibilities will include Market Demand Forecast (MDF) activities which will be built from the monthly SOP “short term” forecasting but include a 5 year plan as well. The person in this role will also represent the Defense Programs Team on the “X200, X300, 3040 MX, X1100 Product Team”, as well as manage and lead various Sales Operations activities in order to drive common/consistent practices across the organization, leveraging Commercial Sales practices wherever practical.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly cross functional SOP activities leading up to the monthly SOP meeting.
- Monthly, work with Finance to reconcile Defense Programs monthly financial numbers to compile accurate information that will be presented at the monthly BPR meeting.
- Prepare and analyze Defense Monthly End Market Reviews for CEO
- Annually, work with Defense Programs group to compile volume estimates which build the MDF that feeds the following year’s budget and 5-year plan.
- Regularly attend the cross-functional X200, X300, 3040 MX, X1100 Product Team meetings, representing Defense Programs. Work with Defense’s Business Development team members to help assure new initiatives / OS’s are ready to be presented to the team for necessary action to support continued revenue growth. Clearly communicate needs, wants, and status updates to Defense Programs’ team members, as needed.
- Manage Defense Programs documentation storage and organization. Work with the entire group to help determine methods of storage that will allow easy access by team members.
- Create and manage Monthly Defense Programs expense budget & report out to Executive Leadership
- Manage and analyze the macro market data for Defense BD Utilization
- Track and report Monthly Delivery Metrics for all Defense Products
- Provide input to Defense Business Team (DBT), as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship
- 10+ years’ prior leadership experience
- Automotive vehicle, vehicle system or vehicle subsystem engineering experience
- Budgeting experience
- Production forecasting and planning experience
Preferred:
- Master’s in Business Administration
- Experience with ATI annual business planning and monthly sales volume and financial forecasting processes
