Associate Director, Así Studios Strategy
Position Summary
The Associate Director is part of the Así Studios Strategy team dedicated to multiplatform marketing campaigns and a key leadership position within the Asi Studios organization, acting as a second-in-command to the Director. He/she drives incremental revenue for TelevisaUnivision by creating integrated, insight-driven and culturally compelling marketing campaigns that meet sales and client requests across key categories, with a focus on activating new clients and growing the advertising presence of existing clients. He/she collaborates cross-functionally with the sales, marketing, production, programming, legal, and multi-platform editorial teams of the organization, as well as clients and agency partners.
The Associate Director supports the Director in overseeing organizational operations, ensuring the implementation of strategic priorities aligned to organizational and company goals, and managing team members to achieve professional growth objectives. This role requires strong leadership and content strategy skills, the ability to ideate and execute marketing campaigns, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement and innovation. This role will have independent judgement and own direct communication & relationships with key clients and support directors in key verticals.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide category expertise, marketing industry and advertiser intelligence to Asi and Sales teams on a consistent basis
- Manage and oversee marketing campaigns and projects with minimum supervision
- Present campaigns proposals at the client and agency level and confidently communicate TU’s value proposition throughout the sales process
- Represent Asi Strategy in day-to-day brainstorming meetings to assess client needs and maximize revenue opportunities for second-tier accounts
- Liaise with cross-functional teams during RFP process, provide clear direction on the deliverables needed to execute in a timely manner, provide marketing strategy, feedback and receive conceptual approval and alignment from all parties. Build relationships with key teams in divisional platforms (Network, Digital/Streaming and Social Media Sales, Strategy and Insights, Local Media, Así Creative, CRG, Experiential, Product Marketing, Programming, and Content Creators) to effectively weave together cohesive multi-touch point offerings
- Oversee solutions marketing managers bring to life via compelling insight-led, strategic decks and marketing materials
- Support Director and team in day-to-day Asi Strategy pre-sales and post-sales activities including but not limited to: outlines and integrated marketing proposals for sales to present to clients and advertising agencies
- Attend and present at in-person and virtual client meetings
- Provide strategic direction on insight-driven storytelling-focused sales proposals
- Act in an independent capacity providing support in day-to-day Asi Strategy pre-sales and post-sales activities including but not limited to: preliminary outlines and integrated marketing presentations, presenting to clients and advertising agencies (attend and/or present at in-person meetings when required), overseeing timelines and processes to ensure campaigns are delivered in full, on time, and within budget
- Manage Salesforce Así studios portals and Airtable requests to keep information up to date and help communicate with Sales regarding the status of proposals
- Determine optimal way to bring concepts to life, providing feedback to internal sales teams
- Determine when it is appropriate to escalate to Director
- Manage/mentor managers
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years media-related experience and managing team; Experience working in a client-facing role within a media company or advertising agency with exposure to sales marketing
- 3 years+ Digital/Social Marketing/Streaming
- Intimate knowledge of Spanish language content across multiple platforms
- Strong storytelling and attention to detail, with great communication skills and presentation skills
- Experience creating integrated cross-platform media solutions and identifying opportunities to plus-up based on client KPIs
- A positive, solutions-oriented, and success-driven approach
- A willing partner to Sales and Programming/Production
- Spanish fluency and multi-cultural experience
- Experience with branded digital video & social content sales packaging & influencer marketing
- Experience with high-impact commerce tactics & traffic campaigns across platforms to drive results for partners
- An expert in managing complex projects, you are loved by clients & colleagues - You're responsive, personable, organized, and you can tackle the tough questions
- Strong skill to ensure deliverables & deadlines are being met while delivering a high quality of output.
- Ability to move quickly between projects and look ahead to see and deal with potential problems
- Expertise in PowerPoint; Keynote a plus
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location: Base annual salary: 115k – 125k
