The Role
AXS is seeking an Associate Art Director to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This role will stay attuned to the latest industry trends, foster strong relationships within the creative team, and drive efficient workflows. Leveraging their expertise, they will guide team members to execute a cohesive vision, consistently exceed expectations, and meet deadlines. Additionally, this role will lead the development of compelling presentation and meeting materials, ensuring the delivery of innovative, industry-leading creative solutions.


What Will You Do?
•    Develop and maintain consistent brand guidelines, ensuring all designs and creative assets reflect and enhance the AXS brand identity.
•    Lead a team of four designers, fostering collaboration and effective communication across time zones.
•    Act as the primary point of contact for design-related tasks, providing support and direction to team members.
•    Develop, review, and approve detailed design briefs in collaboration with stakeholders.
•    Monitor design quality, troubleshoot design challenges, and provide strategic guidance to maintain consistency and innovation.
•    Stay informed about design and industry trends to ensure cutting-edge solutions and market relevance.
•    Recruit, train, and mentor design team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
•    Plan and manage efficient workflows, anticipating potential challenges and implementing solutions to ensure timely project delivery.
•    Assist in leading ideation workshops with the team to foster innovation and refine project concepts.
•    Research and implement standards, processes, and tools to optimize team workflows and creative production.


What Will You Bring?
•    BA/BS Degree (4-year)
•    7-10 Professional experience in marketing/graphic design roles
•    Experience working directly with senior staff and executives on critical projects with minimal supervision
•    Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both digital and print media
•    Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating knowledge of presentation and information design, including deep expertise in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides and InDesign
•    self-motivated, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams, and have strong communication skills
•    Understanding of the strengths and limitations of presentation technology, including aspect ratios, projectors, sound, and video equipment
•    Strong attention to detail, including a keen eye for grammar
•    Ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines
•    Ability to work independently to perform job, as well as in a team environment
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
•    Deep understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and composition, with the ability to create cohesive and visually impactful designs that align with brand standards.
•    Proven ability to mentor and inspire a design team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality deliverables and foster team growth.
•    Keen awareness of industry trends and the ability to adapt and innovate to keep designs fresh, relevant, and cutting-edge while maintaining brand consistency.


Pay Scale: $106,685.00- $112,000
