Job Description:
The Junior Controller assists in providing leadership for the business unit, driving a culture of continuous improvement of all financial work processes. To develop and maintain integrated financial systems that provide insight and guidance to facilitate the decision-making processes. To ensure the integrity of reporting through the implementation of strong internal controls and through the development of appropriate measurements. To ensure compliance with local statutory and reporting obligations.
Role & Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and maintaining accurate product costs in accordance with company costing policies. This includes providing costs and analyses for new products, auditing and maintaining accurate costs within the cost system, providing appropriate cost and variance forecasts, and that product cost changes are effectively communicated. Product costs are used to value the finished Goods Inventory and aid in determining product pricing.

Analyze and provide clear information to the production teams about RM losses in a way everyone can easily understand, including where to focus
efforts toward making sustainable improvements, as well as share best
practices across the company.

Maintain a strong system of internal controls which will ensure the accuracy of inventories, proper safeguarding of assets, compliance with regulatory agency requirements, and the integrity and objectivity of Financial and Operational Reporting. Participative ownership along with IT in development and support of the ERP system.
- Establish systems, processes and procedures to collect and record data required for internal and external financial reporting. This includes maintaining accurate inventory and other balance sheet accounts, charging costs to the general ledger in accordance with the corporate chart of accounts and determining appropriate accruals. Provide appropriate explanations for period results.

Maintain a strong system of internal controls which will ensure the safeguarding of assets, compliance with GAAP and regulatory agency requirements, and the integrity and objectivity of Financial and Operational Reporting.

Provide appropriate financial and operational measurement and analyses as required by various plant and corporate leaders. This will aid in reducing waste and increasing productivity. Assist in the timely communication of results to all plant partners making sure that partners understand how their actions affect results.

Lead profitability analysis along with the Controller, understanding the trends, variations, and main drivers for the results we are having, to make sure the Leadership team has clear information of actual profitability.

Be a key local leader, developing working relationships with other local leaders and global peers, and driving a local Finance culture that thrives on continuous improvement and growth of knowledge and skills.

As needed, assist with projects and process improvements that also impact other plants and/or other areas of the company.

Keep abreast of all relevant local financial and statutory regulations, particularly taxation, and effectively communicate to other leaders for understanding and compliance.
Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 6-10 years in cost accounting or general accounting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.

Knowledge and use of database and spreadsheet applications as required.

Knowledge and previous use of ERP systems

Portuguese and English fluency required
- Strong analytical person who provides solutions.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power BI.

Knowledge of local financial and statutory regulations
