Job Summary:
The APAC Finance Specialist will provide in-depth and insightful end to end financial and accounting expertise to the APAC region through payment processing, journal entry preparation, GL reporting and analysis. The individual will also be liaising with external auditors, corporate representatives and to the tax authorities for the territories that will be supported. The individual will be looked upon as a key finance partner to the team and be responsible for all other ad-hoc projects requiring financial analysis and accounting skills.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform accounting processes for the assigned territories including variance analysis between two (2) actual periods.
- Perform month end closing process for covered territories
- Prepare and update balance sheet schedules monthly
- Prepare and file tax returns for covered territories
- Perform Fixed Asset Accounting
- Create and submit schedules required for financial audit and tax audit.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation;
- Resolve issues related to and within area of responsibility
- Identify process improvement initiatives and discuss/communicate with manager
- Create ad hoc reporting and analysis including supporting strategic initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
- With Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Being a CPA is a plus.
- 4+ years of relevant experience particularly in a shared services organization
- Experience in NetSuite is a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced, globally distributed environment
- Excellent systems skills including advanced Excel skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently and within various teams; team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
